Mustafa Kemal Sirin


Mustafa Kemal Sirin, born in 1964, studied engineering. Since finishing his education, he has devoted his life to educational activities, intercultural reconciliation, and social peace initiatives. 

After settling in the newly formed Russian Federation in 1996, he pioneered the formation of many business and educational, social peace, and cultural initiatives. He became president of the Moscow-based Tolerance Foundation and assisted in the administration of educational institutions established by Turkish entrepreneurs, such as International School No.56 (a primary school), International School No.236 (a secondary/high school), and Tolerance Language Education Center (TODEM). 

During the same period, he was among the founders of the Centers for Turkish Studies at the Russian State Social University (RSSU); Moscow State University; Kostroma State University; Nizhniy Novgorod State University; and Vilnius State University. He also became the founding chairperson of the Association of Russian-Turkish Businesspersons (RUTID).

Sirin carried out similar activities in Colombia, where he lived from 2004-2011. He served as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Andino Business Consulting SA. He helped establish the Andino Informal Education and Art Center (ACEIA) and the Centers for Turkish Studies at the Nacional University, the University of Rosario, and the University of Antioquia. He also became founding President of the Turkish-Colombian Business Association, a member of the Turkish-Colombian Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Turkish-Colombian Business Council. Sirin was also the founding chairperson of the Fundación Nenufar.

Sirin moved to Sweden in 2011, where he became the founding chairperson of the Swedish-Turkish Business Federation (SWETURK) in Stockholm. During the same period, he played a pioneering role in the establishment of the Stockholm University Institute for Turkish Studies (SUITS).

Sirin, married with 3 children, still lives in Stockholm and continues his educational and socio-cultural entrepreneurship activities.
