Elise Grunwald

Elise Grunwald is a PhD candidate and lecturer in Educational Psychology at Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena, Germany. Her research focuses on the development of populist attitudes during adolescence and the impact of school on political socialization. She employs a mixed-methods approach to develop a measurement instrument for assessing populist attitudes. 

Elise is a former recipient of the Friedrich-Ebert Stiftung scholarship, which supported her outstanding completion of a Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Psychology at the University of Jena. Her master’s thesis explored secondary victimization processes in victims of bias crimes. Beyond her academic pursuits, Elise serves as a board member of Musicians Without Borders (Musiker ohne Grenzen), a non-profit organization dedicated to establishing a global network of social music projects.
