Li Yang

Li Yang is a PhD candidate at Ghent University and a researcher in the Horizon Europe ReConnect China project. His research focuses on Chinese nationalism, EU–China relations, diplomatic discourse, and the securitisation of international knowledge exchange. He holds an MSc in China and Globalisation from King’s College London and an MA in History from University College London. His broader interests include Chinese foreign policy, science diplomacy, research security, de-risking, and global governance.
