Ricardo Soares
 
	
Ricardo Soares has a master’s degree in Education Sciences and is currently working as a PhD Fellow at the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences at the University of Porto. He is developing the project “Educational implications of populism in Portugal: from individual attitudes to collective narratives in social networks”. He is also a member of the External Evaluation Committees at the Agency for Assessment and Accreditation of Higher Education (A3ES). He follows mixed research approaches and is comfortable with various methods, from the qualitative (interviews and focus groups) to the quantitative. So far, his research has focused on: youth, civic, and political participation; new media (especially social networks); digital and media literacies; and political and citizenship education. He has already participated in several funded research projects (e.g., Youth Political Participation in Portugal) and is the author of severalscientific publications (articles, book chapters and reports).
