Waseem Ahmad Hajam

Waseem Ahmad Hajam is a first year PhD student in Political Science at Texas Tech University, Lubbock USA, with Comparative Politics and International Relations being his two majors. His research interests include the relationship between the right-wing populism and religion. He explores questions like, “How right-wing populist leaders use the religion of the masses as a medium to advance and craft their populist strategies and policies?” Waseem’s area of focus is South Asia in general and India in particular. Waseem graduated from Ibn Haldun University, Istanbul in 2022 in Political Science and International Relations with summa cum laude. Besides his mother tongue Kashmiri, Waseem also knows Urdu, Hindi, Arabic and Turkish languages.
