Yacine Boubia

Yacine Boubia is a political analyst and PhD candidate in Political History at Cergy Paris University, specializing in populist discourse and political polarization in the United States and other Western democracies. He earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Communication and Media Studies from Suffolk University in Boston, providing him with expertise in political communication, media dynamics, and the construction of political narratives.

His research examines Donald Trump’s rhetoric during and after the 2016 elections as a case study in populist politics, exploring how this discourse reflects socio-economic and legislative shifts and contributes to polarization between rural, conservative America and progressive urban centers. Boubia also studies the broader impact of populist movements on liberal democracies, analyzing how political narratives, media, and policy agendas interact to shape public opinion and governance.
