Hilal Duman is a master’s student of Digital Media and Society at KU Leuven. She completed her bachelor’s degree in International Relations at University of Warsaw. In her bachelor’s dissertation she studied human rights violations in Turkey after 2016 with special focus on freedom of expression and women’s rights. On her master’s studies she delves deep into exploring the impact of digital media on various aspects of modern life with a passion for understanding the intricate interplay between technology and society.

Her research interests span a wide range of topics, including but not limited to social media dynamics, online communities, digital culture, and the ethical implications of emerging technologies. Leveraging a background in International Relations, she is committed to unraveling the complexities of the digital landscape and contributing to the ongoing discourse on the evolving role of media in shaping our interconnected world.
