Anastasia Stamoglou

Anastasia Stamoglou is a recent graduate with an MSc in Political Science from the University of Amsterdam, where she specialized in Gender and Sexuality. She also holds an MSc in Crisis and Security Management with a focus on War and Peace Studies from Leiden University, and a BSc in Political Sciences from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Her research interests focus on the intersections of international security, populism, and gender politics, examining their impacts on societal, political, and economic systems. Her master’s thesis, “Beyond the Shadow of the Iron Curtain,” investigates how women’s rights movements in semi-authoritarian states, such as Hungary, use political repression as a strategic opportunity for advocacy.
