Andrea Guidotti
Andrea Guidotti is a Junior Researcher in Public Opinion Analysis, Comparative Politics, and European Integration. He holds an M.A. in World Politics and International Relations from the University of Pavia (UniPv) and a B.A. in Contemporary History and Philosophy from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (UniMoRe) in Italy, and he completed an Erasmus exchange period at Ghent University (UGent) in Belgium.
His ongoing research focuses on European integration, (il)liberalism and democracy, populism and Euroscepticism, and the influence of crises and technology on political attitudes. He pays particular attention to comparative analysis and experimental methods, both qualitative and quantitative, employing regression techniques and statistical software such as SPSS and STATA. His master’s dissertation empirically examined the impact of major shocks—the COVID-19 pandemic and the European debt crisis—on the relationship between populism and Euroscepticism.
He has served as an academic assistant in the Master’s in Technology and Public Policy at ITC-ILO in Turin (Italy), as a research intern at the European Center for Populism Studies (ECPS) in Brussels, and as a program assistant at the Consorzio FestivalFilosofia in Modena, Italy. He also has private-sector experience from his work at Seamless – Insight for Decision, a market research consultancy in Milan (Italy), and advocacy experience through his role as provincial coordinator for Associazione DrinDrin – ORA, a pro-European, progressive, and centrist political movement. Moreover, he occasionally contributes to the European Relations Association, an online blog focusing on European affairs.
