Metin Pehlivan is a banking professional. He graduated with a B.S. in Political Science from Ankara University in 1991. He worked as a bank professional from 1992 to 2015.
Pehlivan is experienced in development financing, equity financing, commercial lending, climate financing, and energy efficiency. He began his career as an auditor for Turkey’s private Isbank. He eventually became managing director of the Development Bank of Turkey. He also served as the vice-chairman of ADFIAP, which is a multinational developmental NGO located in Manila, and as a board member of ADFIMI, which is also a multinational developmental NGO located in Jeddah. He was an advisory board member of the IVCI fund in Luxembourg.
Pehlivan sourced subsidized funds via The World Bank, the Islamic Development Bank, the European Investment Bank, and The Japan Bank for International Cooperation.
Pehlivan currently works as the financial and administrative counselor of several companies. He resides in Belgium and is a married father of three. He is fluent in Turkish (native) and English and intermediate in Dutch, French, and Italian.
