Merve Tokgöz

Merve Tokgöz is a MA student in Political Science at Central European University and she got her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations at Boğaziçi University in August 2020. She studied at the University of Bergen for a semester as part of the Erasmus+ Programme. She is also a freelance author at Metapolitik. Her interests are mainly in political theory and the theory of neoliberalism, Hannah Arendt’s political thought, visual culture, and the relationship between aesthetics and politics.
Besides her studies, she has been interested in theatre and took part in different university theatre clubs and professional groups. She also volunteered in various social projects and organizations in the field of theatre. She recently worked as an actress at DasDas Stage and assistant director at Primat Studio, a member of ASSITEJ (International Association of Theatre for Children and Young People). One of her articles on the subject was published in Critical Stages, the journal of the International Association of Theatre Critics.
