Erdem Kaya

Erdem Kaya is a Ph.D. candidate at York University, Canada. Kaya has published on Turkish foreign policy, global governance, and peacebuilding and conflict resolution.
His doctoral research project focuses on Sino-capitalism, the political economy of the US-China competition, and the theories of hegemonic transition. Kaya’s research interests also include the populism-foreign policy nexus and the impact of rising populist rhetoric on global politics and governance.
Kaya is a member of the Canadian International Council (the CIC) and an amateur observer of Canadian politics and foreign policy. Kaya lives in Toronto and speaks Turkish (native) and English.
