Julius Maximilian Rogenhofer

Nonresident Research Fellow

Julius Maximilian Rogenhofer is a postdoctoral researcher at The Centre for Sociological Research at KU Leuven. Rogenhofer received his Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge, where his work focuses on parliamentary meaning-making in response to crises and on the relationship of democratic politics with populism. His work is supported by scholarships from the Cambridge Trust and the Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes.

Outside of his commitments at KU Leuven and the University of Cambridge, Rogenhofer is a former visiting scholar at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) in Brussels. He has published analyses for the Middle East Institute, the Heinrich Boell Foundation, and the French Institute for International and Strategic Affairs. Together with Hacer Z. Gonul, Rogenhofer founded the platform M3Dialogue.com, which seeks to nurture exchange between academics, the public, and politicians on issues relating to migrants, minorities, and marginalisation across the world. Rogenhofer is also a solicitor of the Courts of England and Wales.
