Ingrid Ryan
Ingrid Ryan is a postgraduate student at the London School of Economics pursuing an MSc in Political Science (Conflict Studies and Comparative Politics), graduating in December 2025. A Nashville, Tennessee native, she is passionate about the effects of illiberal leadership on U.S. and EU public opinion, policymaking, and populism. Her quantitative dissertation at LSE focuses on the correlation between populist leaders in national office and public support for illiberal leadership in the EU.
She also holds a BA in English, with a minor in political science, from Rollins College. Her quantitative and qualitative research projects from that time focused on U.S. public opinion of presidential impeachments and partisan political rhetoric in the U.S. Congress, respectively.
Beginning in January 2026, she will be an intern at the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee within the House Democracy Partnership.
